Helen M. Lucas, 78, Seymour, died at 8:12 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour.
Mrs. Lucas was employed with H.O. Canfield for 26 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, VFW, American Legion and Ladies Aid.
Born Dec. 13, 1926, at Sauers, she was a daughter of William and Sophie Hageman Nieman, both of whom preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra K. (Jay) Hoffman, Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Corbin and Keaton Hoffman; one brother, Wilber (Irene) Nieman, Sauers; and two sisters, Erna Williams, Seymour and Pauline (Warren) Caille, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Andy Nieman, Henry Nieman, Melvin Nieman, one infant brother, Willis Nieman and two sisters, Amanda Dickmeyer and Wilma Peters.
The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Voss Funeral Service and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Association.
