Seymour Daily Tribune May 20, 2002 William Edward Marksberry William Edward Marksberry, 59, North Vernon, died at 10:47 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2002, at Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus. Mr. Marksberry was employed by Hinshan Roofing in Columbus before retiring due to ill health in 1984. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed working on cars and spending time with his family. Born May 6, 1943, in Bartolomew County, he was a son of J.W. and Lula Campfield Marksberry, who both preceded him in death. On April 2, 1982, in Vernon, he married Teresa Wilder and she survives. He also is survived by two sons, William Sherman Wilder and Frederick Wilder, both of North Vernon; three daughters, Nora Lee Owens and Christan Marksberry, both of North Vernon, and Tonya McCorkhill, Carmel; a brother, Norman Marksberry, North Vernon; three sisters, Bonnie Shake, North Vernon, Carol Hazelwood, Deputy, and Nancy Swindall, Hayden; and four grandchildren, Danielle McCorkhill and Rodney McCorkhill, both of Carmel, and Frederick Wilder and Rose Marie Wilder, both of North Vernon. He also was preceded by a sister, Juanita Deppe; a brother, Terry Marksberry; and three grandchildren. The Rev. Jon Beck will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Dove-Sharp and Rudicel Funeral Home, North Vernon. Members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Matt Hester Post 2021, North Vernon, will conduct military graveside rites. Burial will be at Baldwin Cemetery, Vernon. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family, through the funeral home.
