Genevieve Martin, 60, North Vernon, died Monday, April 22, 2002, at I.U. Medical Center, Indianapolis.
Born Sept. 12, 1941, in Perry County, Ky., she was a daughter of Harlan Deaton, who survives in Austin, and the late Edna Vires Deaton.
She is survived by three sons, Samuel Spencer, Austin, Anthony Spencer, Las Vegas, and Clyde Martin, Seymour; a daughter, Pamela Hornback, Uniontown; three brothers, James Deaton and Jimmy Deaton, both of Austin, and Tommy Deaton, London, Ky.; two sisters, Kay Johnson, Scottsburg, and Pat Deaton, Seymour; 10 grandchildren; and Donald Day, North Vernon.
The Rev. Adam Wright will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin. Burial will be at New Providence Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
