Seymour Daily Tribune April 2, 2002 Steven Wayne Martin Steven Wayne Martin, 54, Brownstown, died at 3:15 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2002, at his home. He had been ill for eight months. Mr. Martin was a traffic manager for Bowling Transport, Seymour, and a member of the Indiana National Guard. He attended Driftwood Christian Church, Vallonia, where he was a church deacon and trustee and Sunday school teacher. He was also a Scoutmaster for 10 years for Boy Scout Troop 510. He lived in Jackson County his entire life. Born April 4, 1947, in Seymour, he was a son of Russell Martin and Esther Wineinger Martin, who both preceded him in death. On April 20, 1968, at Driftwood Christian Church, he married Linda Sue Jamison and she survives. He also is survived by two sons, Scott A. Martin, Indianapolis, and John J. Martin, Columbus; a brother, Roger L. Martin, Nashville; and a sister, Linda (James) Kamman, Seymour. Pastor Tom Cash will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Driftwood Christian Church. Burial will be at Harrell Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia, and from 10 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Driftwood Christian Church Building Fund.
