Seymour Daily Tribune March 12, 2002 LeRoy W. Maschino LeRoy W. Maschino, 76, North Vernon, died at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 10, 2002, at his home after an extended illness. Mr. Maschino was a 1943 graduate of Hayden High School. He was a lifetime farmer and Dekalb seed salesman. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a past trustee of St. Joseph. He was a member of AMPI (American Milk Producers Inc). Born Aug. 15, 1925, in Jackson County, he was a son of Ruth Hawk Maschino and Victor Maschino. On May 7, 1949, at St. Joseph Church in Hayden, he married Thelma Johnson, who survives in North Vernon. Other survivors include nine sons, Edward Maschino, Tom Maschino, Bill Maschino, Jim Maschino, Larry Maschino, Dennis Maschino, Kenny Maschino, Lester Maschino and Robert Maschino, all of North Vernon; two daughters, Janet Maschino, North Vernon, and Jane Meyer, Columbus; four brothers, Paul Maschino, Louisville, Amos Maschino and Roger Maschino, both of North Vernon, and Arthur Maschino, Union City, Ohio; three sisters, Sister Juanita Maschino, Beech Grove, Agnes Euler, Columbus, and Irene Simmons, North Vernon; 26 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children, one grandchild and a brother, Floyd Maschino. The Rev. Joe Brown will conduct services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon. A rosary service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
