Mary Jane Mathews
Mary Jane Mathews, 87, Yorktown, died Friday, March 22, 2002, at Liberty Village Nursing Home, Muncie.
Mrs. Mathews attended Moscow School and was a member of Moscow Christian Church. She and her husband moved to Yorktown in 1954.
Born Nov. 23, 1914, in Rush County, she was a daughter of Mable and Francis Hewitt. On Nov. 19, 1932, she married Nolan “Curley” Mathews.
Survivors include three sons, James Mathews (wife, Kimberly), Noblesville, Rick Mathews (wife, Cheryl), Yorktown, and Terry Mathews (wife, Melissa), Brownstown; a sister, Ruth Eversole, Indianapolis; eight grandchildren, Mary Ann Clark, Kenneth Mathews, Kristie Keppler, Suzanne Price, Michelle Peterson, Christina Main, Laura Lynn and Bradley Main; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Larry Delaney was to conduct services at 1 p.m. today at Gant Funeral Home, Yorktown. Burial was to follow in Yorktown Cemetery.
