Gladys (Morris) McClellan
1929 - 2009 
Gladys McClellan, 79, of Columbus and formerly of North Vernon, passed away at 11:47 a.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, at her daughter's home.
Born Aug. 27, 1929, in Zenas, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Olive Smith Morris. She married Frank McClellan on Sept. 14, 1947. He preceded her in death March 27, 1997.
Mrs. McClellan worked at Macy's Department Store as a sales associate and at Citizens Building and Loan for 18 years. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crossword puzzles, shopping and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia (Paul) Kirchner of Seymour and Betty McClellan of Columbus; sister, Phyllis (Maurice) Moncrief of North Vernon; three grandchildren, Paula Zeh, Cheryl Griffin and Debra Young; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and son, Frank Thomas McClellan.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon, with Bob Ochs officiating. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
