Elsie Carolyn McCormick, 65, Seymour died Monday, Sept. 18, at her residence.
Mrs. McCormick moved to Seymour with her family in July 1977 from Lebanon, Ohio. She graduated from Protestant Deaconness Hospital in Evansville with a degree in nursing. She had been a nurse with the Jackson County Health Department since 1978. She formerly worked at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Middletown Hospital in Ohio, where she was on the Policy and Procedure-Audit Committee, and with children and ENT patients and at Carmi Township Hospital in Illinois. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Seymour.
Born July 27, 1941, in Evansville, she was a daughter of Albert and Louise [Quenzer] Marsden. On Sept. 27, 1964, in Carmi, Ill., she married Ellis McCormick who survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Julia McCormick of Ohio.
Dr. Eugene Gladney will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Enfield Cemetery in Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Women's Oncology Research and Development [WORD].
