Doxie C. (Chadwell) McDaniel
1918 - 2009 
Doxie C. McDaniel, 91, of Jensen Beach, Fla., and formerly of Freetown, passed away at 7:50 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. McDaniel was a homemaker and was a member of Freetown Church of Christ. She had been a member of Eastern Star.
Born April 10, 1918, in London, Ky., she was the daughter of Isaac and Bertha Gregory Chadwell, both of whom preceded her in death. On Feb. 24, 1935, in London, Ky., she married Arnold McDaniel, who preceded her in death in 2005.
Survivors include four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Isaac "IJ" (Marilyn) Chadwell, Freetown, and Lowell (Pearl) Chadwell, Seymour; and a sister, Grace Bruner, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley Sprague, and three sisters, Opal Zerke, Pearl Parman and Roxie Barnard.
Larry Tedrow will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Freetown Church of Christ. Burial will take place at Houston Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church
