Seymour Daily Tribune April 4, 2002 Lona Sandlin Grigsby McIntire Lona Sandlin Grigsby McIntire, 91, North Vernon, died Wednesday, April 3, 2002, at Jennings Health Care Center. Mrs. McIntire worked as a factory employee for Dupont Canning Factory and also babysat. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, and attended Dupont Methodist Church. Born July 8, 1910, in Perry County, Ky., she was a daughter of John Sandlin and Lillie Ingram Sandlin, and they both preceded her in death. On July 27, 1927, she married James Grigsby and he preceded her in death in 1965. On July 22, 1967, she married Orval McIntire and he preceded her in death June 4, 1992. She is survived by three stepsons, Orval Gene McIntire, Anderson, Glenn McIntire, Madison, and Virgil McIntire, Bowling Green, Ky.; a stepdaughter, Marilyn Mack, Deputy; a brother, Greenbury Sandlin, Seale, Ala.; two sisters, Wanda Miller, Sebring, Fla., and Margaret Kahrs, Seymour; three grandchildren, Karen Bonnahme, Mt. Washington, Ky., Kile Combs, Louisville, Ky., and Lisa Wilson, North Vernon; and a great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Glenda Combs and Virginia Miller; eight sisters and two brothers. Ross Wallace will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will be a t Dupont Cemetery, Dupont. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Jennings Community Foundation.
