Seymour Daily Tribune Wiley McIntosh October 3, 2006 March 8, 1938 - Oct. 1, 2006 Wiley McIntosh, 68, died at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at one of his farms. Mr. McIntosh was raised in Breathitt County., Ky. and North Vernon, and lived for a short period of time in Knoxville, Tenn. He lived the remainder of his life in Scott County. He was a self-employed contractor and retired farmer. He loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, bulldozing, listening to country music and visiting with his beloved family and multitude of friends. He was an avid storyteller and loved to joke with everyone. Born March 8, 1938, in Breathitt County., Ky., he was the son of James and Pliney Gross McIntosh, both of whom preceded him in death. He was the husband of Clara Brewer McIntosh, whom he married Sept. 10, 1957. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Ron Gregory; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Wanda and Sam and Jean Ann; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Marie Picklesimer, Virginia and Arlie Jones, Clara and Tommy Marcum and Polly and Ron Gowanlock; an uncle, Sam McIntosh; several cousins, nieces and nephews; and a friend, Mary Johnson. He was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Lee McIntosh, on June 11, 1976; an infant daughter, Mary Ann; two infant sons, Wiley Vernon and Wilton Arthur; four brothers, Robert, Guy, Yance and Paul McIntosh; two sisters, Rebal Driver and Charity Stollings; an infant sister, Polly; and three infant brothers, Charlie, Jerry and Lester. Mike Shuler, pastor, will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg. Burial will take place at Scottsburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
