Seymour Daily Tribune February 21, 2002 Thelma Meyer Thelma Meyer, 88, Seymour, died at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2002, at Lutheran Community Home. Mrs. Meyer was a homemaker and worked in the dietary department at Seymour Community Schools for 16 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Bloomington, and was a former member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lutheran Women’s Missionary League and Lutheran Laymen’s League. Born Aug. 23, 1913, in Monon, she was a daughter of Louis Wienhorst and Ida Hauer Wienhorst. On Dec. 30, 1934, in Reynolds, she married Paul F. Meyer, who died July 23, 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Janice E. Sinn (husband, Thomas), Bloomington; a son, Larry G. Meyer (wife, Peggy), Seymour; five grandchildren, Jeff Meyer (wife, Karen), Loveland, Ohio, Paul Meyer (wife, Susan), Luddington, Mich., Abram Sinn and Leah Sinn, both of Bloomington, and Clint Ahlbrand, Seymour; a great-granddaughter, Sara Meyer, Michigan; two brothers, Louis Wienhorst Jr. (wife, Ruth), Columbus, and Bernard Wienhorst (wife, Diane), Seymour; and a sister, Madelyn Moore (husband, Craig), Danielsville, Pa. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Gordon Meyer, and a sister, Francis Wienhorst. The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg and the Rev. Larry Mitchell will conduct services at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour, and from 10:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the church. Memorials may be given to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Music Fund, Lutheran Hour or Lutheran Community Home.
