Seymour Daily Tribune May 1, 2002 Bruce N. Miller Bruce N. Miller, 83, Scottsburg, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002. Mr. Miller was a barber from 1941 until his retirement in 1983, and was the former owner of Doc’s Barber and Beauty Shop. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Scottsburg Presbyterian Church, the VFW and the American Legion. He was a lifetime resident of Scott County. Born March 11, 1919, in Scott County, he was a son of Robert D. Miller and Bessie A. Henry Miller, who both preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Frances Wahl Miller; a son, Bruce N. Miller Jr., Scottsburg; two daughters, Karen Amick, Scottsburg, and Barbara Lundbeck, Minneapolis, Minn.; two brothers, Chester E. Miller, Scottsburg, and Robert L. Miller, Lexington; a sister, Joyce Jones, Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The Rev. J.B. Blythe will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday at Stewart Funeral Home, Scottsburg. Burial will be at Scottsburg Cemetery, Scottsburg. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
