Harriet Miller
Harriet Miller, 89, Seymour, died at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Seymour, United Methodist Women, Sarah Society and the Mother’s Club. She was a charter member of the Pine Ridge Home Extension Club.
Born Feb. 26, 1913, was a daughter of Jacob A. Brackemyre and Berta June Meyer Brackemyre, who both preceded her in death. On Nov. 27, 1935, in Seymour, she married George D. Miller and he died June 22, 2001.
She is survived by three daughters, Madeline M. Guest, Bowie, Md., Dena Demaree, Kentucky, and Julieanne Ratliff, Seymour; a son, George D. Miller Jr., Oklahoma; a brother, Wilford Brackemyre, Seymour; two sisters, Elizabeth (Cecil) Traylor and Ruth Eisner, both of Seymour; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers, Keith Brackemyre, H. Paul Brackemyre, J. Allen Brackemyre and George Brackemyre; and two sisters, Grace Imlay and Wilma Davis.
The Rev. Robert H. Miller will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from noon until time of services Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church, Seymour.
