Seymour Daily Tribune March 30, 2002 James Edgar Miller The Rev. James Edgar Miller, 78, Brownstown, died at 6:25 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2002, at his home after an illness of several months. The Rev. Miller was a member of Full Gospel Apostolic Tabernacle, Brownstown, and had ministered for more than 50 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving as a private with the 1853rd Service Command Unit. He was retired from Kieffer Paper Mill, Brownstown. Born Dec. 17, 1923, in Casey County, Ky., he was a son of Estel and Bertha Foster Miller. On Dec. 27, 1944, in Jamestown, Ky., he married Agnes M. Russell, who survives. Other survivors include five sons, Donald (Cathie) Miller and John K. (Marilyn) Miller, both of Seymour, Ronald (Gail) Miller and Roger (Sue) Miller, both of Brownstown, and Billy (Audrey) Miller, North Carolina; five daughters, Darlene (Roy) Monroe, Paris Crossing, Rebecca (Dennis) Wheeler, Deborah (Paul) Jones and Brenda (the Rev. Samuel) Allman, all of Brownstown, and Sandra (James) Caudill, Crothersville; a brother, Zolla Miller, Brownstown; 26 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Virtrease Miller, and two great-grandchildren. The Rev. Frank Holt and the Rev. Samuel Allman will conduct services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Seymour Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the building fund of Full Gospel Apostolic Tabernacle, Brownstown.
