Seymour Tribune - June 6, 2009 Rev. Robert H. Miller 1923 - 2009 The Rev. Robert H. Miller, 85, Indianapolis, graduated to be with his Lord on Saturday, May 30, 2009. Bob, a minister serving in the South Conference of the United Methodist Church from 1950 to 1987, graduated from Seymour High School, Evansville College and Boston University School of Theology. His years of service included: West Newton, Wheatland, Evansville, Oakland City, Scottsburg, Aurora, New Albany, Covington and Lawrenceburg. He had a passion for classic cars and people. In the early years, the family enjoyed touring in the 1934 Packard with the Classic Car Club of America. He loved people and wanted all to know they were loved by God. After retirement, Bob and his wife, Marjorie, lived in Covington from 1987 to 2003, Boyne Falls, Mich., from 2003 to 2008 and Crestwood Village West in Indianapolis. Born Oct. 28, 1923, he was the son of Dora Pfaffenberger Miller and Edward Miller, Seymour. Married on Nov. 8, 1953, he is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Anna Haynes Miller, who served alongside Bob in his years of ministry. Other survivors include a son, David E. (Angela) Miller, Brownsburg; daughter, Dorothy E. "Dot" Miller (Jim) Ward, Indianapolis; and grandsons, Justin (Holly), Ben and Nolan Miller and Josh (Anne), Nathaniel and Chris Ward. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Cornelia Miller Huber, George Miller and Dena Miller Klein, who all lived their lives in Seymour. Memorial services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 20, at Covington United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until time of service Saturday, June 20, at the church. Funeral arrangements were handled by A.R.N. Cremation Services, Indianapolis.
