Seymour Daily Tribune April 24, 2002 William G. Montgomery William G. Montgomery, 78, Scottsburg, died Monday, April 22, 2002, at Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus. Mr. Montgomery was a self-employed residential contractor and owned the old Montgomery Construction Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He resided in Scottsburg most of his life. Born Feb. 6, 1924, in Scott County, he was the son of William Paul Montgomery and Lillian Nicholson, who both preceded him in death. He is survived by three sons, Dr. Brint A. Montgomery, Oklahoma City, Okla., John C. Montgomery, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Scott W. Montgomery, Indianapolis; three daughters, Sharon Mayo, Sarasota, Fla., Billie Perry, Boston, and Diana Minor, Columbus; and 10 grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Irene Montgomery. Dr. Brint A. Montgomery will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg. Burial will be at Scottsburg Cemetery, Scottsburg. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Crothersville VFW Post 1083. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Bartholomew County Hospice, care of the funeral home.
