Michael J. Mount
Brother Michael J. Mount, 46, Scottsburg, died Friday, March 22, 2002, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
Brother Mount was a meter technician for Midwest Natural Gas Co. in Scottsburg and was a lineman for Cummins Engine Co. in Columbus for approximately 11 years. He was former pastor for Victory Baptist Church in Austin and Emmanuel Baptist Church in Blocher and was a member of First Baptist Church of Henryville.
Born May 21, 1955, in Louisville, he was a son of Mountie J. Mount and Phyllis Wells. His father survives in Scottsburg, and his mother survives in Warrenton, Miss. He married Jackie M. Montgomery, who survives in Scottsburg.
Other survivors include three stepsons, Todd Thompson and Scott Thompson, both of Scottsburg, and Tony Thompson, Henryville; his stepmother, Jeannette Mount, Scottsburg; his stepfather, Kermit Thompson, Warrenton, Miss.; a brother, Steve Mount, Troy, Mo.; two grandchildren, Kristen and Allison Thompson; three stepbrothers, Matt Murray, Jeffersonville, Wayne Thompson, Columbus, and Shane Thompson, Illinois; and a stepsister, Pat Brady, Connersville.
The Rev. Chris Bonts was to conduct services at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church, Henryville. Burial will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg, was in charge of arrangements.
