Ronald B. Murphy

Ronald B. Murphy, 70, Seymour, passed away at 9:55 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007, at Heritage House of Seymour, where he had been residing.
Mr. Murphy was a lifelong resident of Jackson County. He retired from Columbus Co. as a truck driver. He was a member of the former New Hope Church of the Brethren, was a 1955 Crothersville High School graduate and enjoyed tinkering and working on projects. He was mechanically inclined to fix just about anything.
Born Aug. 5, 1936, in Cortland, he was a son of Manvil and Iva Morgan Murphy. On Nov. 5, 1966, in Brownstown, he married Ruth Ann Kern, who preceded him in death April 6, 1991.
Survivors include a brother and his wife, Garland V. and Helen Murphy, Seymour, and a granddaughter, Lillian E. Murphy, Seymour.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy LaVonne Murphy.
The Rev. Jon Pearce will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Friday at Adams Funeral Home, Crothersville. Burial will take place at Uniontown Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 12:30 p.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
