Seymour Daily Tribune Gwendolyn Nantz September 19, 2006 Gwendolyn Nantz, 90, Floyds Knobs, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, at Covered Bridge Health Care Campus, Seymour. Mrs. Nantz graduated from Western Kentucky College and Indiana University. She taught school in Eastern Kentucky and Floyd County. She was a member of ISTA and a member of the Chapel Hill Christian Church in Floyds Knobs. She was the former Gwendolyn Napier, a native of Leslie County, Ky., born Oct. 5, 1915, a daughter of Floyd and Liza Napier, both of whom preceded her in death. On Jan. 14, 1941, she married Dan F. Nantz, who preceded her death on Jan. 31, 1977. Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis [Charles] Nantz, Seymour, Lorraine [John] McCune, Floyds Knobs; one brother, Jim Napier, Ohio; three sisters, Lillian Yeager, Lilia Baker, both of Ohio, Pebble Morgan, London, Ky.; three grandchildren, John [Dorene] McCune, Dan F. [Donna] McCune, Ann [Scott] Foster; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Burl Napier, Statesville, N.C., and Bill Napier, Kentucky; two sisters, Nora Brwuninger, Coatesville, Pa., and Vivan Wells, Dayton, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel Hill Christian Church, Floyds Knobs. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Market Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church. Memorials may be given to church or donor's choice.
