Seymour Daily Tribune January 19, 2007 Thelma L. Nehrt Thelma L. Nehrt, 96, Crothersville, died at 1:40 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at the Lutheran Community Home, Seymour. Mrs. Nehrt was a member of New Life Assembly of God in Seymour and was a devoted homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and always had a garden that was so large she would freeze and can the fruits and vegetables that grew in it. Born Oct. 13, 1910 in Scott County, she was the daughter of Roy and Lora (Whitsitt) Pheral. On Jan. 25, 1931, she married Paul Nehrt who preceded her in death on April 26, 1970. Survivors include three sons, Robert (Ileen) Nehrt, Brownstown, and Richard (Janet) Nehrt and Roger (Janet) Nehrt, both of Crothersville; two daughters, Shirley (Frank) Lehman, Crothersville, Marcia (Greg) Deskins, Indianapolis; a brother, Johnny Pheral, Florida; a sister, Dorthy Weddle, Crothersville; a sister-in-law, Jonra Nehrt, Mechanicsburg, Pa.; 17grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Leo Nehrt, a brother Thomas Pheral, a sister, Belva Pheral, a grandson, Joe Nehrt. The Rev. Jim Donahue will conduct funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Adams Funeral Home, Crothersville. Burial will take place at Crothersville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at funeral home. Memorials may be given to Calvary International (to support Thelma's grandchildren in missions) or to First Baptist Church of Crothersville's Building fund, St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Lutheran Central School in Brownstown.
