Seymour Daily Tribune February 3, 2007 Helen E. Niemeyer Aug. 1, 1933 - Feb. 1, 2007 Helen E. Niemeyer, 73, Seymour, died peacefully surrounded by her family at 7:45 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1, 2007, at Covered Bridge Health Campus, Seymour. Mrs. Niemeyer was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour. She retired from Jackson County Library where she worked as a library assistant for 22 years. She loved to read and collect books, enjoyed riding the Blue Ridge Parkway and visiting the Smokey Mountains. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed the hobby of tracing her family's roots through family genealogy. She was a member of Seymour City Homemakers. Born in Krypton, Ky., on Aug. 1, 1933, she was the daughter of William and Lula (Bowling) Begley, both of whom preceded her in death. On July 27, 1956, she married Louis J. Niemeyer in Seymour at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2006. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Carol J. Henderson, Seymour, and Teresa A. (Tom) Pevlor, Columbus; two sons, Robert L. (Cindy) Niemeyer, Crothersville, and Joseph R. (Rebekah) Niemeyer, Ballwin, Mo.; one brother, Patrick Begley; four sisters, Anne Foster, Betty Stamper, Lou Alice Wilkerson, and Verna Green; 10 grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Woolery Begley, and William Begley; and two sisters, Agnes Begley, and Ada Ruth Begley. Father Todd Goodson will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m., Monday, at Saint Ambrose Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from noon until time of service Monday at the church. A rosary service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
