Seymour Daily Tribune December 23, 2006 Pearl Nilson March 12, 1909 - Dec. 21, 2006 Pearl Nilson, 97, Kurtz, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at her residence. Mrs. Nilson attended Kurtz Nazarene Church and was a homemaker. Born March 12, 1909, in Brown County, she was a daughter of Daniel Sipes and Grace Robison, both of whom preceded her in death. On Aug. 20, 1927, in Brown County, she married Milt Nilson, who died Oct. 23, 1991. Survivors include two daughters, Eva (Arnold) Fleetwood, Kurtz, and Bessie (Robert) Thrasher, Harrodsburg; two sisters, Edith Deckard, Morgantown, and Doshie Wilkerson, Elkhart; 11 grandchildren, Roy Fleetwood, Frieda Hillenburg, Roger Fleetwood, Beverly Goss, Carolyn Canaday, Linda Sue Harper, Jane Carter, Nancy Sheehy, Carol Tolliver, Susan Parker and Robbie Thrasher; 25 great-grandchildren; and 20 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lova Sipes and Clarence Sipes; a sister, Vida Grape; and a granddaughter, Reva June Roberts. Cecil Boling and Floyd Fisher will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kurtz Nazarene Church. Burial will take place at Kurtz Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church. Memorials may be given to Kurtz Nazarene Church Building Fund or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
