Seymour Daily Tribune May 21, 2002 Noah Gene Noble Noah Gene Noble, 65, Lexington, died Sunday, May 19, 2002, at the V.A. Medical Center, Louisville. Mr. Noble was a retired co-owner and operator of Noble’s Shell Service, Louisville, for 24 years. He also was a retired co-owner and operator of Marysville Lake in Lexington for 20 years. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War and a U.S. Marine veteran. He was a member of American Legion Post 193 in Louisville and the Freedom Gospel Church in Lexington, and he was a Kentucky Colonel. He had lived in Scott County since 1971. Born Aug. 30, 1936, in Hazard, Ky., he was a son of Emery Noble Sr. and Elizabeth Stacey, who both preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Thelma Neace Noble; a son, Rory Dean Noble, Scottsburg; two grandsons, Nolan Noble Jr., Dayton, Ohio, and Joseph Dean Noble, Lexington; a granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Noble, Louisville; three brothers, Delmar Noble, Kent, Ohio, Emery Noble Jr., Buckhorn, Ky., and Willard Noble, Louisville; and two sisters, Lulia Mae Fugate, Chicago, and Geraldine Miller, Van Cleve, Ky. He also was preceded in death by two sons, Nolan Noble Sr. and Nelson Noble. The Rev. Don Blair will conduct funeral services at 3 p.m. EDT Thursday at Engle Funeral Home, Hazard, Ky. Burial will be at Neace Cemetery, Lost Creek, Ky. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. EST Wednesday at Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg, and 9 a.m. EDT until time of services Thursday at Engle Funeral Home, Hazard, Ky.
