Seymour Daily Tribune April 13, 2002 Elmer Leroy Nolting Elmer Leroy “Butch” Nolting, 60, Columbus, died at 6 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove. Mr. Nolting was a farmer and former Bartholomew County Highway Department employee for 10 years, five as the highway superintendent. He was a former Bartholomew Consolidated School Corp. school bus driver for 20 years. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Columbus, the Bartholomew County Farm Bureau and Bartholomew County Pork Producers. Born June 1, 1941, in Columbus, he was a son of Elmer H. and Emma I. Voltez Nolting, who both preceded him in death. On Nov. 3, 1962, in Columbus, he married Susan K. Settle and she survives. He also is survived by a daughter, Jennifer L. Nolting-Baldwin, Columbus; two sons, Greg W. Nolting, Franklin, and Michael A. Nolting, Columbus; four grandsons, Nick Nolting, Kyle Baldwin and Ryan Baldwin, all of Columbus, and Brock Nolting, Franklin; two brothers, Daniel Nolting and Charles D. Nolting, both of Columbus; and three sisters, Rosalyn Norman, Eileen Forster and Lucille Arnholt, all of Columbus. The Rev. Mark R. Teike will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel, Columbus, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of services Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the “Together We Grow” fund at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
