Seymour Daily Tribune May 12, 2006 Frances Marie O’Connor Frances Marie O’Connor, Seymour, 92, died at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour. Mrs. O’Connor was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church and belonged to the Daughters of Isabella and held several offices in that organization. She also belonged to the Legion of Mary Auxiliary and The Prayer Chain. She was a 1931 graduate of Seymour High School and was employed in sales with Seymour Hardware for 20 years and Wishing Well for seven years. After retiring she was a hospital volunteer for many years. Born Nov. 6, 1913, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Woodson L. and Emma Ulm Woodard, both of whom preceded her in death. On March 19, 1938, she married Thomas Arthur O’Connor, who preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1986. Survivors include five children, Thomas O’Connor, Novi, Mich., Patrick O’Connor, San Diego, Calif., Maureen Lively, St. Augustine, Fla., Daniel O’Connor, San Francisco, Calif., Peggy (William) Burkman, Knoxville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren: John and Thomas O’Connor, San Diego, Aaron Cardinal, Peachtree City, Ga., Nathan Cardinal, Brownstown, Kristen Lively, St. Augustine, Meghan and Erin O’Connor, Novi, three great-grandchildren, Peyton Wischmeier and Caden Cardinal, Brownstown, and Erica Cardinal, Peachtree City; one brother, Ralph Woodard, and one sister-in-law, Gertrude Woodard, Seymour. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Thelma Waldkoetter and Ruth Kreinop, and two brothers-in-law, Allan Waldkoetter and Leonard Kreinop. Father Todd Goodson and Father Joseph Sheets will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel and from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday at the church. A Rosary Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel. Memorials may be given to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.
