Seymour Daily Tribune Howard A. Osborne Dec. 28, 1939 – May 13, 2006 Howard A. “Bud” Osborne, 66, Seymour, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2006 at Tanglewood, Tenn. Mr. Osborne was a member of Brownstown Church of the Nazarene. He served in the Air Force from 1961 to 1965. He retired from Cummins Engine Co. in 1991 and Ivy Tech Community College. He was a member of Gideons International. Born Dec. 28, 1939, in Henryville, he was a son of Hubert and Helen (Switzer) Osborne, both of whom preceded him in death. On Oct. 8, 1961, he married Dixie D. Stroud, who survives. Other survivors include four children, David (Karen) Osborne, Holton, Dee Osborne and Dana Rafferty, Sugar Hill, Ga., Dana Huber, Seymour; special friends, Scott and Barbie Huber, Seymour; six grandchildren, Jessica and Dustin Osborne, Holton, Ben, Madison and Samuel Huber, Seymour, James Howard O. Rafferty, Sugar Hill, Ga., four sisters, Millie (Bill) Mann, Freetown, Sandy (Bill) Brandt, Pat (Larry) Lewis, both of Seymour, and Sharon (Rick) Zschiedrich, several nieces and nephews. Tim Miller will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Voss & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will take place Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Post #1925, American Legion Post #89, Disabled American Veterans #47 and Vietnam Veterans #7, all of Seymour. Memorials may be given to Gideons International or Brownstown Church of the Nazarene.
