Seymour Daily Tribune December 30, 2006 Linda C. Ross Parker Oct. 24, 1943 - Dec. 28, 2006 Linda C. Hendrickson Ross Parker, 63, Ingalls, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at St. John's Health System in Anderson. Mrs. Parker was a 1941 graduate of Pittsboro High School and a 1986 graduate of Ball State University with a degree in nursing home administration. She was a devoted caregiver of the elderly and owned Linda's Home Care (The Barn) in Ingalls. She had also co-owned Ross Funeral Home in Fortville and in Ashley with her husband Bruce Ross, who preceded her in death. She was the former owner of Rainbow Flowers in Fortville and had worked at the BMV in customer service at Fortville. She was an emergency medical technician and a dispatcher for Care Medical Transport in Indianapolis. She was a member of Fortville United Methodist Church and attended Ingalls Church of God. She was active in the Order of Eastern Star, a charter member of Ingalls Lions Club and an active member of Fortville Brother and Sisterhood. Born Oct. 24, 1943, she was a daughter of Clyde and Beulah Early Hendrickson, both of whom preceded her in death. On April 17, 2004, she married Daniel J. Parker, who survives. Other survivors include her a son, George (fiancée Emily) Ross, Seymour; a daughter, Heather (Todd) Parrish, Pendleton; a stepson, Joseph Parker, Muscatine, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Amanda Parker, Muncie; a brother, Don Hendrickson, Greenwood; three sisters, Edna Ball and Janice Wicker, Indianapolis, and Myra (Mike) Kivett, Plainfield; eight grandchildren, Xavier, Alexia, Morgan, Phillip, Falesha, Tyler, Zakary and Allie; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Xander Ross, and a brother, Ronald Hendrickson. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Erlewein Mortuaries, 124 E. Staat St., Fortville. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Diabetes or American Heart associations or Shaken Baby Syndrome.
