Seymour Daily Tribune Jack Harold Patrick July 28, 2006 Jack Harold Patrick, 81, died Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. He was a member of Central Christian Church and was a graduate of Shields High School, where he was an active collector of metal for World War II during his senior year. As an active participant after graduation, he served in the U.S. Army Engineers in England, France, the Philippines and Japan. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator and retired in 1967. In retirement, he was a caregiver to his family and friends. He was an avid gardener, giving produce to his church and many friends. He held life members in Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Fraternal Order of Police, the Eagles, and the Masons. Born June 18, 1925, in Hamilton Township, he moved to Seymour in 1930, and was a son of George Ogle Patrick and Margaret Leona Denny Patrick. Survivors include a sister, Blanche Jane Coryell, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Denny Patrick and Victor Murphy Patrick, and two sisters, Nellie Lucille Rush and Anna Lee Patrick. The Rev. Rick Grant and the Rev. Marsha Rodenberger will conduct services at 10 a.m. Monday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take at Riverview with full military graveside rites to be conducted by the VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled American Veterans 47 and Vietnam Veterans 7, all of Seymour. Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Central Christian Church or donor's choice.
