Seymour Daily Tribune January 30, 2007 Joe Mark Peters Jr. April 9, 1954 - Jan. 26, 2007 Joe Mark Peters Jr., 52, Vallonia, died at 3:46 a.m. Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at his parents' home in Brownstown. Mr. Peters was a 1972 graduate of Crothersville High School and began working at Cummins Engine Co. in November 1972. He had been on medical leave since 1999. Born April 9, 1954, in Seymour, he was a son of Joe Mark Peters Sr. and June Ruth Craigmiles Peters, both of whom survive. Other survivors include his brother, Michael Kent Peters, and sister-in-law, Loretta Jean Dunham Peters, Portsmouth, Ohio, and a sister, Jana Kaye Peters, and his future brother-in-law, Jason William Elgin, Louisville. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Dennis Craig "Motor" Goebel; paternal grandparents, William Roscoe Peters and Helen Smith Peters; and maternal grandparents, Willard Archibald Craigmiles and Merle "Gram" Feirl Craigmiles. Mr. Peters donated his body to the University of Louisville School of Medicine for research. There will be no funeral services. A celebration of his life will be held soon, at a date to be announced. Memorials may be given to Schneck Medical Center Hospice Services or to Jackson County Genealogical Society, Brownstown.
