Seymour Daily Tribune April 1, 2002 Richard Peters Richard Peters, 91, White Creek, died at 11 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2002, at Full Circle Extended Care in Seymour. Mr. Peters was a retired farmer and a lifetime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek. He operated a bulldozer and raised horses and hogs for several years. He also participated in several area parades with his horses. Born on March 28, 1911, at White Creek, he was the son of Fred Peters and Lena Burbrink Peters. On Nov. 17, 1940, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek, he married Edna Bode and she survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Shirley) Runge, Seymour; two grandsons, Richard Runge and Robert Runge (Brittney Rotert), both of Seymour; a granddaughter, Mrs. Kent (Joy) Carr, Seymour; a great-grandson, Darren Carr, Seymour; and two sisters, Vera Bode, Seymour, and Leona Stahl, Florida. He was also preceded by a sister, Selma Claycamp, and two brothers, Ralph Peters and Eldor Peters. The Rev. Eldon L. Brandt will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, White Creek. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Voss Chapel, Seymour, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran High School or the building fund for St. John’s Lutheran Church.
