Seymour Tribune - June 25, 2008 Lynn A. Pfaffenberger Lynn A. Pfaffenberger, 90, died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at his home in Greenwood. Mr. Pfaffenberger enlisted in the Army in 1942 where he served the duration of World War II. After his time spent as a local business owner, Lynn joined the U.S. Postal Service where he retired after 30 years of dedicated service. Lynn and his wife Wilma moved to Florida in 1979 where they resided for 21 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, The Scottish Rite, as well as a former Demolay Dad in Greenwood. Born March 24, 1918, in Seymour, he was the son of John and Clara Pfaffenberger, both of whom preceded him in death. Upon his return from service on July 21, 1946, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Ms. Wilma L. Baldwin in Seymour. Upon the death of his wife in October of 2000, Lynn moved back to Indiana with his son, Chuck, for two years. Lynn then moved into the home of his daughter, Karen, and his grandson, Ben, until the time of his death. Survivors include his sister, Marion Smith; son, Charles (Judy) Pfaffenberger; daughters Victoria (Neal) Johnson and Karen Broughton; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Gary; an infant grandson, Garett Lynn Johnson; two brothers, Robert and Roy; and two sisters, Marie and May. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Reddington Cemetery, Reddington.
