Edith Phillips, 86, Morgantown, died at 9:05 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility, Bartholomew County.
Mrs. Phillips was of the Christian faith and was a homemaker.
Born Oct. 9, 1919, in Jennings County, she was a daughter of Benjamin Richard and Alzada Ada Hess Russell, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 20, 1937, she married Aaron Bueford Phillips, who died in 1984.
Survivors include two sons, James Dale (Donna) Phillips and Eugene Richard Phillips, both of Florida; five grandchildren, Susan Phillips, Nancy Bailey, Pam Foley, Sherrie Sapone and Todd Phillips; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Russell Edward Phillips; a brother; and several sisters.
The Rev. Bill Weaver will conduct funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
