Seymour Daily Tribune May 28, 2002 Steve Paul Phillips Steve Paul Phillips, 77, Scottsburg, died Saturday, May 25, 2002, near Commiskey. Mr. Phillips was a retired telecommunications technician (cable-splicer) with Indiana Public Telephone Corporation in Greensburg. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Scott County VFW Post 6582 and American Legion Post 234, Scottsburg. He had lived in Scottsburg for 15 years. Born Oct. 1, 1924, near Boswell, Pa., he was a son of Frank Phillips and Mary Kozach, who both preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Roberts and Susan L. Doles, both of Greensburg; three sons, Steve T. Phillips, Scottsburg, and Timothy J. Phillips and Michael L. Phillips, both of Greensburg; two sisters, Helen Rochford and Pauline Tasin, both of Baltimore, Md.; five brothers, Charlie Phillips, Missouri, John Phillips and George Phillips, both of Baltimore, Md., Frank Phillips, New Jersey, and Peter Phillips, Maryland; five grandchildren; Carolyn Phillips; and Helen Phillips. The Rev. Walter Terry will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Collins Funeral Home, Scottsburg. Burial will be at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Madison. Military graveside services will be conducted by the American Legion Post in Madison. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
