Seymour Daily Tribune - May 17, 2006 Bertha Louise Findley Prewitt June 7, 1914 – May 15, 2006 Bertha Louise Findley Prewitt, 91, Seymour, died Monday, May 15, 2006, at Clark Memorial Hospital, Jeffersonville. Mrs. Prewitt was a member of Peters Switch Church of the Nazarene in Seymour and was a homemaker. Born June 7, 1914, she was a daughter of Everett and Iva Clark Findley, both of whom preceded her in death. On July 1, 1931, she married William Marion Prewitt, who died in 1982. Survivors include three children, Doris L. Fleetwood, Seymour, William Richard Prewitt, Bedford, and Nancy E. (Michael) Kilbourne, Columbus, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Norma L. Prewitt, Seymour; 10 grandchildren, Lisa L. Kline, Robert A. Fleetwood, Jeffrey W. Prewitt, Joan M. Bishop, Nathan C. Prewitt, Nicholas G. Prewitt, Stacy Wiggam, Angela P. Niemeyer, Michael P. Kilbourne and John W. Kilbourne; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lorene Myers, Bradley, Ill., and Irene Hudson, Okeechobee, Fla. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Wayne Prewitt; a son, Gale Prewitt; two brothers, Curtis Edwin Findley and Guy Martin Findley; a daughter-in-law, Norma J. Prewitt; and a son-in-law, Robert N. Fleetwood. Andy Burnette, pastor, will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Friday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Peters Switch Church of the Nazarene.
