Seymour Daily Tribune May 1, 2002 Donald A. Ramsey Donald A. Ramsey, 56, Franklin, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at Homeview Nursing Home, Franklin. Mr. Ramsey was retired from the maintenance department at Krogers. He served with the Marine Corps in Vietnam in Chu-Li, and served a year with the Indiana National Guard. He was a 1963 graduate of Southport High School, where he was on both the varsity wrestling and football teams. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Born Oct. 4, 1945, in Indianapolis, he was a son of the Rev. Donald P. Ramsey, who survives in Nashville, and the late Nellie Parris Ramsey. On Oct. 10, 1991, in Indianapolis, he married Mary Ann Moering Ramsey and she survives in Nashville. He also is survived by a daughter, Stacy Castellonis, Illinois; a son, Donald Ramsey, Georgia; a grandson, Flynn Castellonis, Illinois; two brothers, Paul (Sandee) Ramsey, Seymour, and Bill (Shirley) Ramsey, Beech Grove; two sisters, Ruth (Larry) Volls, Nashville, and Becky (Greg) Streetman, Georgia; 12 nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous stepchildren and stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the ALS Foundation for Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
