Seymour Daily Tribune April 23, 2002 Kenneth Lee Reed Kenneth Lee “Rocky” Reed, 67, Brownstown, died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Seymour, after an illness of several years. Mr. Reed was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a retired carpenter. He was affiliated with Crothersville Pentecostal Church. Born June 28, 1934, in Indianapolis, he was a son of Leo Reed and Verna Spears and was a stepson of Max Spears. His stepfather survives in Indianapolis. On Aug. 20, 1956, in Madison, he married Margaret Stucker, who survives. Other survivors include four children, Michael Reed, Brownstown, Teressa Asher, Freetown, Angie Brown, Seymour, and Donald Day, Terre Haute; 10 grandchildren, Mike Reed Jr., Josh Reed, April Reed, Sandra Asher, Heather Asher, Kim Asher, Kevin Moore, Rebecca Moore, Ashley Brown and Amanda Brown; three brothers, Dwayne Spears, Crawfordsville, Larry Robbins, Seymour, and Lavon Robbins; three sisters, June Kindred, Florida, Connie Durley, Milport, and Roslee Hutchinson, Leesville; and two great-grandchildren, Treyton Michael Brown and Peyton Matthew Moore. The Rev. Larry Robbins will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Full military graveside services will be conducted. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 11 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Reed family.
