Seymour Daily Tribune February 23, 2002 Adrian James Reynolds Adrian James Reynolds, 96, Trafalgar, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at Franklin Meadows Nursing Home, Franklin. Mr. Reynolds graduated from Butlerville High School and attended Hanover College for one year. He was a member of First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Franklin. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 10th Battalion of the Seabees in the Pacific. He farmed in Jennings County before World War II and moved to Trafalgar in 1947. He worked for the B&O Railroad and was employed with Hygrade’s Meat Packing in Indianapolis for 17 years. He retired in 1989 after 23 years with Lancaster’s Hardware in Trafalgar. Born Aug. 17, 1905, in Jennings County, he was a son of James Reynolds and Flora Belle Reynolds. In 1946 he married Louise Behrens, who survives in Trafalgar. Other survivors include a daughter, Shirley Ann Johnson, Anchorage, Ky.; a son, Adrian Reynolds Jr., Trafalgar; a brother, Cecil Reynolds, Belleville, Ill.; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester Reynolds and Walter Reynolds. Mike Stroh will conduct services at 11 a.m. Monday at Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will be in Butlerville Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
