Seymour Daily Tribune February 8, 2002 Charles Henry Robbins Charles Henry “Bud” Robbins, 74, Butlerville, died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. Mr. Robbins attended Hayden Elementary School and North Vernon High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army after World War II, serving in Japan. He was a member of North Vernon Veterans of Foreign Wars and North Vernon Masonic Lodge 59. He had been employed with Arvin Industries. Born Feb. 15, 1927, in Jennings County, he was a son of Charles Lowell Robbins and Mandy Campfield. On Aug. 9, 1947, in Carrollton, Ky., he married Juanita Tatem, who died Oct. 20, 1978. Survivors include Nellie Fortune, Butlerville; two daughters, Judy Robbins, Columbus, and Terri Williamson, North Vernon; a son, Larry Robbins, North Vernon; three sisters, Josephine Pearson, North Vernon, and Alberta Wilber and Alice Preslar, both of Muncie; three granddaughters, Brandy Blevins, North Vernon, Melissa Thomas, Seymour, and Sarah Williamson, Scottsburg; a grandson, Brian Robbins, North Vernon; and the children and grandchildren of Nellie Fortune. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Robbins, William H. Robbins and Warren Robbins; a sister, Barbara Harrison; and two grandsons, Rusty Pickett and Scotty Pickett. Edward Wooddell will conduct services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pickett Funeral Home, North Vernon. Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted by the North Vernon VFW. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted at 7 p.m. today. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
