Seymour Daily Tribune February 8, 2002 Letha M. Robbins Letha M. Robbins, 87, Scottsburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2002, at Scottsburg. Mrs. Robbins was a former employee of the old Army Ammunition Plant in Charlestown and Smith Cabinet Factory in Salem. She was a member of Vienna Baptist Church. Born May 8, 1914, in Scottsburg, she was a daughter of Amos and Lula Tash Richey. She married Clarence E. Robbins Jr., who preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Chester Robbins, Underwood; four sisters, Florence Wright, Clarksville, Gladys VanMeter, Florida, Lola Pearl Griswold, LaPuenta, Calif., and Evelyne Tobias, Southport; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and six brothers. A private funeral service will be conducted. Visitation also will be private. Burial will be in Scottsburg Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Fund in care of Stewart Funeral Home in Scottsburg, which is in charge of arrangements.
