Seymour Daily Tribune February 12, 2002 William H. Roberts William H. “Red” Roberts, 82, Seymour, died at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 10, 2002, at Memorial Hospital, Seymour. Mr. Roberts served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired as manager of Terre Haute Malleable & Manufacturing. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Indra Guild Ancient Mystic Order of Bagmen of Bagdad. He had lived in Jackson County since October. Born Nov. 11, 1919, in Linton, he was a son of Lawrence Roberts and Alice Mooney Roberts. He married Bernice McFarland, who preceded him in death. Survivors include two granddaughters, Kim Kimbrell Swider and Shannon Morgan, both of Seymour; a grandson, Frederick E. Morgan IV, Hawaii; four great-grandchildren, Suzannah, Trent, Tyler and Rowson, all of Seymour; a brother, Walter Roberts; a sister-in-law, Lorraine Roberts; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and –nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers; three sisters; and two daughters, Madonna Morgan and Dianne Peck. The Rev. Mark Press will conduct services at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Voss & Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Friends may call from 4:30 p.m. to time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran High School.
