Seymour Daily Tribune Michael Scott Rogers Feb. 25, 1972 – June 20, 2006 Michael Scott Rogers, 34, Seymour, died Tuesday, June 20, 2006, in Columbus. Mr. Rogers was a U.S. Navy veteran and while in the Navy spent two years aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt. He was a 1990 graduate of Seymour High School and attended Vincennes University. He was manager of Polo Ralph Lauren in Edinburgh. He was a loving father and loved his children very much. Born Feb. 25, 1972 in Seymour, he was a son of Roy and Vicki Coker Rogers, both of whom survive at Seymour. Other survivors include two children, Bryce Rogers, Taylorsville, and Brooke Rogers, Franklin; two brothers, Chadd (Kay) Rogers and Joshua Rogers, both of Seymour; maternal grandmother, Vila Ra Coker, Seymour; maternal grandfather, Elmo Coker, Arizona; paternal grandmother, Zella Bohnenkamp, Seymour; one nephew, Chase Rogers, Seymour; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harry Bohnenkamp. The Rev. Steve Greene will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund, Special Education Parent Advisory Council, Heart Association or donor’s choice.
