Seymour Daily Tribune April 12, 2002 Herbert Rosenberg Herbert Rosenberg, 81, Scottsburg, died Wednesday, April 10, 2002, in Scottsburg. Mr. Rosenberg was a retired plumber. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and a Pearl Harbor survivor. Born Jan. 16, 1921, in Montgomery, N.Y., he was the son of Samuel and Ella (Samuels) Rosenberg, and both preceded him in death. He married Christine (Peckham) Rosenberg, and she also preceded him. He is survived by three sons, Roy Rosenberg, Fair Play, S.C., Herbert Rosenberg, Walden, N.Y., and Richard Rosenberg, Scottsburg; four sisters, Elizabeth Steinman, Miami Beach, Fla., Helen Marron and Erma Bettcher, both of Melbourne, Fla., and Mary McDonald, Montgomery, N.Y.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The Rev. Doug Wallace will conduct funeral services at 7 p.m. Saturday at Stewart Funeral Home, Scottsburg. Burial will be private. Friends may call from 6 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans in the care of the funeral home.
