Seymour Daily Tribune James Eagle Rush November 6, 2006 May 2, 1944 - Nov. 3, 2006 James Eagle Rush, 62, Crothersville, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, in Jennings County. Mr. Rush retired after 38 years from Ford Motor Co. in Indianapolis. He started his own construction company after retiring from Ford. He was a member of East 52 Fire Department, Celina, Tenn. and served as captain. He was a member of Cave City Baptist Church and was very active in AA for 25 years. He enjoy hunting, fishing, gardening, working in concrete, loved spending time with his grandchildren and was a cook at East 52 Firehouse. He enjoyed boating at Dale Hollow Lake, Ky. He attended Walnut Grove School in Tompkinsville, Ky. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1968 to 1970. Born May 2, 1944, in Tompkinsville, Ky., he was a son of Bruce Rush and Hallie Grimsley Rush, both of whom preceded him in death. On May 5, 1968, in Tompkinsville, Ky., he married Elsie Lamb, who survives. Other survivors include his mother-in-law, Viola Lamb, North Vernon; a son, Timothy Rush, Oklahoma City; two daughters, Melanie (Wayne) Montgomery, Shelbyville, and Carrie (Rob) Rush Cook, New Castle; a brother, Rex Rush, Indianapolis; five sisters, Martha Castor, Fairland, Pat Bryant, Tompkinsville, Ky., Rita Rush, Shelbyville, Frances Rush, Alaska, and Nancy McNearney, Idaho; 10 grandchildren, Zachary, Lindsay, Will and Blake Montgomery, all of Shelbyville, Joshua and Dalton Cook, New Castle, Ashley Alexander and Alicia Rush, both of Greensburg, Amber Moore, Fairland, and Christl Montrond, New Castle; six great-grandchildren, Nazerach and Kevyn Montrond, New Castle, Joseph, Michael and Lucille Moore, Fairland, and Michael Alexander, Greensburg. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Wilburt, J.E., Billy, Roy and Ray Rush. The Rev. Erni Lamb will conduct funeral services at 6 p.m. today at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel funeral home. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Joshua and Dalton Cook Memorial Fund, American Diabetes Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
