Fern V. (Trapp) Russell
Fern V. (Trapp) Russell, 89, passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 18, 2007, at her residence in Brown County.
Mrs. Russell was a loving wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Weston Baptist Church in Jennings County. She enjoyed working in her flower garden, hunting mushrooms, traveling and being on the go.
Born April 29, 1918, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Fred and Verna (Johnson) Trapp, both of whom preceded her in death. On Dec. 27, 1937, in Seymour, she married Louis Russell, who preceded her in death on Sept. 10, 1994.
Survivors include two sons: Richard L. (Judy) Russell and Danny L. Russell, both of Morgantown; one brother, Murrell Trapp, Seymour; three sisters, Carol Clark and Phyllis Burke, both of Seymour, and Vivian Smith, North Vernon; eight grandchildren, Missie, Jeremie and Jody Jaggers, Danny, Rick, Mark and Brent Russell, Pamela Lanfair; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Ermel and Ernest Trapp; and two sisters, Fairy Trapp and Marge Ritz.
The Rev. Fred Harrison will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation and Personalization Center, Morgantown. Burial will take place at East Hill Cemetery, Morgantown.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
