Seymour Daily Tribune February 8, 2002 Wayne H. Schneider Wayne H. Schneider, 63, Seymour, died at 5 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, 2002, at his home. Mr. Schneider was a Seymour city firefighter for 20 years and was a farmer all his life. He retired in 1982. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 89, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925 and Eagles Club 655, all of Seymour. He enjoyed his horses and dogs, farming and collecting toy tractors. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard and was discharged in 1964. Born May 27, 1938, in Jackson County, he was a son of Irving R. Schneider Sr. and Mary Belle Barkman Schneider. On Sept. 4, 1960, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour, he married Ruth Ann Bode, who survives in Seymour. Other survivors include three daughters, Denise S. Bloom (husband, Brian), Louisville, and Susan M. Rohr (husband, Brian) and Angela K. Tracey (husband, Terence), both of Seymour; four grandchildren, Phoebe L. Zike, Alec R. Rohr, Libby L. Rohr and Davis S. Tracey; a sister, Marilyn Blevins (husband, Puck), Seymour; and two brothers, Irving R. Schneider Jr. (“Nippy”; wife, Carol) and Gary Schneider (wife, Leah), both of Seymour. The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg and Vicar Jimmy Rodriguez will conduct services at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Myers Funeral Service, Burkholder Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 89, VFW Post 1925, Disabled American Veterans 47 and Vietnam Veterans 7, all of Seymour. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and 12:30 p.m. to time of service Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Immanuel Legacy of Faith.
