Seymour Daily Tribune February 14, 2002 Clara Stuckwish Schroer Clara Stuckwish Schroer, 88, of Seymour and formerly of Brownstown, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2002, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour. Mrs. Schroer was a homemaker and was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brownstown. Born Dec. 31, 1913, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of George F. Stuckwish and Katie L. Kloecker Stuckwish. On April 5, 1934, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sauers, she married Elmer A. Schroer, who died July 27, 2001. Survivors include two sons, Robert Schroer, Jamestown, and Joe Schroer, Hardy, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Harold (Rose Ann) Spaulding, Indianapolis, Mrs. Roger (Kathleen) Koontz, Avon, and Mrs. Charles (Carolyn) Sterling, Seymour; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four stepgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandchild, David Goss, and two brothers, Lawrence Benter and Elmer Benter. The Rev. Jack Belk and the Rev. Jeff Geisler will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brownstown. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Zabel Funeral Home, Brownstown. Memorials may be given to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
