Seymour Daily Tribune December 18, 2006 Billy Joe Schwein Billy Joe Schwein, 81, North Fort Myers, Fla., died at 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006, at Hope Hospice House, Cape Coral, Fla. Mr. Schwein was a member of Central Baptist Church, Fort Myers, Fla., and attended Brownstown Christian Church. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Bakalar Air Base, Columbus. He was a member of American Legion Post 112, Brownstown. Born Jan. 8, 1925, in West Frankfort, Ill., he was a son of Paul Dewey Schwein and Hattie B. Browning, both of whom preceded him in death. On April 17, 1948, in Washington, he married Patricia Allman, who survives in Fort Myers, Fla. Other survivors include two sons, Stephen D. Schwein, Oxford, Ohio, David G. Schwein, North Fort Myers, Fla.; one brother, Paul G. Schwein, Florida; five grandchildren, Brian Schwein, Jason Schwein, Christopher Schwein, Alison Schwein and Lindsey Schwein. Gary Morning and Michael Hogg will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Brownstown Christian Church.
