Seymour Daily Tribune April 18, 2002 Charles Francis Schwein Charles Francis Schwein, 78, Seymour, died at 2:47 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at Columbus Regional Hospital, Columbus. Mr. Schwein was a retired insurance salesman and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 492nd Post Battalion in Guadalcanal. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, as well as a member of American Legion and VFW, both of Seymour. He also was a member of the Southeastern Beagle Club. He lived his entire life in Jackson County. Born Dec. 10, 1923, in Brownstown, he was the son of Everett and Esther Boley Schwein. On June 22, 1946, in Brownstown, he married Jeannetta J. Rhodes and she died June 27, 1982. On May 2, 1987, in Louisville, he married Maryann Holt and she survives in Holton. He also is survived by a son, Dennis Allen (Rhonda) Schwein, Seymour; a daughter, Kimbee Lee (Thomas) Burchell, Seymour; a stepson, Greg Holt, North Vernon; a stepdaughter, Porta Shouse, Mooresville; five grandchildren, Tiffany S. Schwein, Arizona, Natalie B. Schwein, Nathan G. Schwein and Judson A. Schwein, all of Seymour, and Dustin B.J. Schwein, Louisville; three stepgrandchildren, Melisa Davidson, Heather Burchell and Kristy Burchell, all of Seymour; two great-grandchildren, Bryan and Caleb Davidson; and four sisters, Ethel Jo Engle, Virginia McElfresh, Jean Jackson and Ramona Gunning, all of Brownstown.
