Seymour Daily Tribune February 23, 2002 Inez Hope Scott Inez Hope Scott, 73, Freetown, died at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2002, at her home. Mrs. Scott was employed with Big Lots in Seymour and had worked at several factories, including Paramount Die in Seymour. She was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and Eagles Lodge in Seymour. She moved to Jackson County in 1974. Born April 10, 1928, in Yarmouth, Mass., she was a daughter of Frank and Millie Nickerson Wheldon. On Aug. 27, 1950, in Hyannis Port, Mass, she married Jack Quincy Scott, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Michael Scott, Freetown; two daughters, Shirley Guzman, Panama City Beach, Fla., and Phyllis Chiapetta, Freetown; four grandchildren, Melissa Groenewold, Charles Guzman, Jason Sprong and Michelle Scott; three great-grandchildren, Levi Groenewold, Makayla Sprong and Arizona Hope Guzman; three brothers, Frank Wheldon, Yarmouth, Mass., David Wheldon, Dennis Port, Mass., and George Wheldon, Vernon, Ala.; and two sisters, Miriam Thompson, Elkins, W.Va., and Faith Hysaw, Tupelo, Miss. She was preceded in death by a son. There will be no services. Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral home in Brownstown is in charge of arrangements.
